They are eager to explore our complicated world in search of meaning and authentic connection, and desire to look inside themselves to find their unique significance and value. However, Type 4s feel burdened by a constant belief that they alone are missing something important. Craving ideal circumstances or love, they often feel disconnected or fundamentally flawed. Struggling with feelings of envy, they compare themselves to others, believing those around them possess the things for which they long.
